The Chair of Governors, David Hymans is proud to announce that:

• Awliscombe C of E Primary School is the 15th highest placed school for reported KS2 results in Devon in 2008 (more than 240 schools).
• The school is also well above the national "contextual value added" (CVA) score – which shows how much the school has improved its pupils' achievements since they took their first set of assessments in 2005.

This is a fantastic achievement and great news for our school, following on from our excellent OFSTED report last year.

A big thank you to our Headteacher, Gill Kendrick, and all our talented and hard working staff; also to the children who make our school such a fun and welcoming place to learn and to my fellow Governors, particularly to Sarah Andrews, Chair of Governors the preceding three years, for their dedication to the school’s improvement.
